 Vision

To see every child in Africa discovering their worth, realizing their potential and empowered by growing in a family which is relating effectively to God, to each other and making a difference in their community, in their generation and beyond.

Our Mission

The reason of our existence is to 'set lonely children in families, and to restore families to God's order' (psalm 68:6a)

Our Approach:

The work of setting the lonely in families involves:

  • Relate to children who live and work in the streets of Nairobi, children at risk or those in the government rehabilitation centers.
  • Rescue them out of the streets into a family environment.
  • Rehabilitate them in a family environment.
  • Repent, helping the children to see their sins and ask for forgiveness from God
  • Reconcile them to God and their families.
  • Reunite the children with their families where possible. In the event of inadequate structures at home or rejection by his/her family, a child is placed into a foster care whilst seeking to restore family structures.
  • Restore children and their families to God's order and design through various appropriate empowerment strategies including counseling.
  • Networking with others who have the same vision and burden.

  The Challenge

  • It is reported that the streets of Nairobi have a “population” of around 60,000 children, many of whom are homeless. A significant number of them have two living parents, but come from a dysfunctional family. They are often abandoned by their parents, who can no longer provide a home for them.
  • Close to 50% of children on the street come from a single parent situation. Others are orphaned mainly due to the HIV/ AIDS pandemic, but most of the children have an extended family.
  • Lack of enough foster families.
  • Lack of a halfway house.

 Our Core Values:

  • Prayer: The foundation of our work is prayer and we believe that absolutely nothing can be accomplished without prayer
  • Commitment: This is the heart of the work with children and it causes us to go the 'Extra Mile' and do whatever it takes to get the children back to their families.
  • Team work: Every role and each individual is important in achieving our goal. Thus the saying, team work makes the dream work.
  • Growth: Each team member undergoes continuous training in pursuit of excellence at work. This training is both internal (involving the whole team), and external.
